The hotel is owned and managed by a Belgian-American couple, Marc and his wife Elvira. Marc is a former Belgian diplomat who was posted for 14 years in the United States where he met his wife, an American citizen of Spanish-Philippine ancestry, who graduated from Columbia University. On September 11 2001, they moved from California to the Dominican Republic with their two children to pursue this dream. Their guarantee: "relaxed new world comfort set in old world style".

The old ancestral colonial mansion, dating back from Diego Columbus' time (son of Christopher himself) was totally renovated and transformed into a hotel in 2004. Our 15 + rooms and suites feature Cable TV, Air-Conditioning, fan, king size or queen size "Serta-Pedic" beds, and stylish private Andalusia bathrooms.
