The
hotel is owned and managed by a Belgian-American couple, Marc and his
wife Elvira. Marc is a former Belgian diplomat who was posted for 14 years
in the United States where he met his wife, an American citizen of Spanish-Philippine
ancestry, who graduated from Columbia University. On September 11 2001,
they moved from California to the Dominican Republic with their two children
to pursue this dream. Their guarantee: "relaxed new world comfort
set in old world style".
The old ancestral colonial mansion, dating back from Diego Columbus' time (son of Christopher himself) was totally renovated and transformed into a hotel in 2004. Our 15 + rooms and suites feature Cable TV, Air-Conditioning, fan, king size or queen size "Serta-Pedic" beds, and stylish private Andalusia bathrooms. Prices include breakfast as well as all taxes and service charges. Telephone, high speed Internet access are also available in each room, safe boxes are optional.
